GluSonic is a US-based medical technology company developing a new way to measure glucose — without needles, adhesives, or insertion sites. Our Story
GluSonic was built on proven Norwegian R&D. In 2011, MecSense AS in Norway developed the foundational non-invasive ultrasonic sensing technology and filed the first patent family. A proof-of-concept study in at Oslo University Hospital showed the approach could read glucose within a single session.In 2026, GluSonic, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware to carry the technology forward. GluSonic adds a second patent family — algorithms that account for the body's changing biophysics over time, enabling glucose to be tracked continuously throughout extended wear.One company, two patent families. GluSonic consolidates the full intellectual-property stack under a single US C-corporation, extending the original session-based breakthrough into a platform built for continuous, wearable-scale monitoring.
